About the project
Sweetbridge is a blockchain-based protocol stack that enables highly efficient supply chains and commerce without intermediaries. Sweetbridge allows holders of cryptoassets to maintain long-term appreciation while at the same time giving them access to disposable capital. This is achieved by introducing the Asset Vault (AV) smart contract. This contract issues a stable cryptocurrency, Bridgecoin (BRC), when cryptoasset collateral is deposited and locked. When Bridgecoin is repaid the collateral is unlocked and may be sold allowing owners to redeem the pledged assets. Sweetbridge will issue a second currency, Sweetcoin (SWC), in limited supply to serve as a software licence and a discount coupon that can be used to offset the fee.
